Ken Stoy, Partner ken@stoyfarms.com
Ken was born the oldest of the three brothers to Larry and Judy Stoy. After high school he earned a Bachelor Degree from Purdue University. Ken currently oversees outside operations during the off seasons (It’s a 3-way effort during planting and harvesting seasons). Ken’s wife Melanie is a Registered Nurse who enjoys job-sharing to have the best of both family time and career. Their children Emily, Elizabeth, Hannah, Jake and Sarah are a true blessing to Ken and Melanie. Ken is a deacon and Melanie a praise team member for their church. As a family they enjoy camping in the upper peninsula of Michigan in the summer and visiting Florida in the winter.


Kevin Stoy, Partner kevin@stoyfarms.com
Kevin, the 2nd child of Judy and Larry Stoy, started farming with his brother Ken in 1988, all while attending Indiana University, Bloomington. After graduating in 1991 from Indiana School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in business management, he entered the family business full time. Kevin’s main responsibility and passion is in grain marketing. This along with networking with key individuals in the farming industry, has helped in the growth of Stoy Farms.

The community in which his family lives in is very important to Kevin. He gives back to that community by being involved in the Pleasant Lake Lions Club, Steuben Community Foundation board member, and Ashley/Hudson Community Foundation Board. He has been married since 1992, to his high school sweetheart, Bridget. Bridget obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Purdue, West Lafayette in 1991. She has been employed by Parkview Health since 1991. Together, they are raising four beautiful daughters; Megan, Emily, Abby and Katie. Kevin and Bridget work very hard to teach their daughters the importance of family, faith and hard work by setting a good example.


Tom Stoy, Partner tom@stoyfarms.com
Tom, the youngest of the 3 brothers knew at a very young age that he wanted to farm. He graduated from Angola High School in 1995 and then graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Fort Wayne. While attending college Tom started working with landlords to begin farming his own ground, alongside his brothers.  In 2005 Tom’s wife Megan began working for Stoy Farms in the office full time. The two attend Pleasant Lake Mennonite Church with their daughters Olivia and Evleyn and son Preston. Tom serves as a Trustee at the church.


Larry Stoy, also known as Dad by the three brothers, started farming in 1960. In December 2007 he decided to retire from farming. Larry still works at the farm in the spring and fall but has time to enjoy traveling with his wife Mary Alice and working around his home since retiring.


Megan Stoy megan@stoyfarms.com. Megan married Tom, the youngest of the 3 brothers, in 1999 and entered in to the Stoy Family. She worked solely as the Marketing Specialist at a local credit union until 2005 when she decided to split her time between the credit union and the farm. In the spring of 2008 Megan made managing the office at Stoy Farms her full-time job.


Eldon Skelly. Eldon Skelly has been driving for Stoy Farms since April 2002. Eldon said his favorite memory was working with Ted Pollard, who also used to drive truck for Stoy Farms. When he is not in the cab of a semi, Eldon enjoys vacationing down south with his wife.



Jim Young. A member of the Stoy Farms team since 2006, Jim Young splits his time between driving truck and working in the shop. Jim says his favorite part about his job is when he gets to drive the semi. In his free time. Jim enjoys playing golf and fishing with his grandkids.


Mike Young. A member of the Stoy Farms team since April 4th of 2007, Mike Young works primarily with spraying and spreading fertilizer and lime. Mike enjoys the aspect that there is almost something new to do every day. When he is not at work, Mike enjoys gardening and spending time with his family.



Scott Hinman. A member of the Stoy Farms team since September of 2008, Scott Hinman predominately works with the grain system. Scott enjoys watching how the farm has expanded during his time there. In his free time Scott enjoys hinting and fishing.


Nik Gorrell. A member of the Stoy Farms team since 2009, Nik Gorrell primarily works on excavation and drainage jobs. Nik also enjoys working on special projects around the Farm as they come up. In his free time, Nic enjoys spending time with his family.



Horets Franco. Working with the Stoy Farms team since 2010, Horets Franco does a little bit of everything when it comes to farm work. Horets enjoys the excitement that comes with planting and harvest season. When he is not at work Horets enjoys spending time with his wife and their two boys.


Grant Chaffee. On the team since 2010, Grant does a little bit of everything when it comes to work on the farm . Grant says his favorite thing about his job is being able to work outside. When he is not at work, Grant enjoys spending time with his family.


Jonathon Soto. A fulltime member of the Stoy Farms team since 2012, Jonathon does a lot of power washing around the farm. Jonathon’s favorite memory about the farm is that this is where he learned to drive his first tractor. In his free time, Jonathon enjoys hanging out with family.


Jeff Klink. A member of the Stoy Farms team since 2013, Jeff is a jack of all trades when it comes to work on the farm. Some of the things that he does include equipment operator and truck driver. Jeff’s favorite part about his job is being able to work outside. When he is not at work Jeff enjoys hunting, traveling, and spending time with his grandkids.


Doug Stukey. A member of the Stoy Farms team since harvest of 2013, Doug Stukey spends most of his time transporting grain. Doug’s favorite part about his job is being able to work as part of a team. Doug also enjoys being able to work alongside his son Ben.



Ron Gillen. Ron Gillen has been working part time with Stoy Farms since the spring of 2012 after his retirement. Ron’s various duties around the farm include driving tractor, picking rocks, and ripping in the fall. Ron’s favorite thing about his job is being able to drive tractors. When he’s not at work Ron enjoys fishing and sitting around the bonfire.



Kenny Crites. A new member of the Stoy Farms team, Kenny Crites began driving truck for Stoy Farms in April of 2014. Kenny enjoys being able to do farm work and likes to tell people he is just a “farmer who drives truck”. In his free time Kenny likes to travel and “play cowboy”.


Jack Conrad. A member of the Stoy Farms team since Fall 2014, Jack Conrad really enjoys driving equipment around the farm. When he is not at work, Jack enjoys livestock, hunting, and spending time with friends.



Ben Stukey. Ben has been a part time employee with Stoy Farms since August of 2014. He is currently a student at Purdue University- Lafayette, studying Ag System Management. His favorite thing to do at the farm is drive the grain cart in the fall. In his spare time Ben enjoys working on his trucks and snowmobiles and hanging out with his friends.


Anthony Swartzentruber. Anthony has been a part of the Stoy Farms team since October 2014. At the farm his jobs include seed treating, delivering seed, and driving a gain cart when in the fields. His favorite job at the farm is hauling straw/hay and running equipment. When he is not hard at work Anthony enjoys music and being active playing golf, softball, and basketball.


Sam Swihart. A member of the Stoy Farms team since March 2015, Sam enjoys driving semi part time. When he is not at work, Sam simply enjoys working more specifically getting in the big trucks and going.



Rich Enfield. Having been with us since April 2015, Rich enjoys running tractors and equipment. Rich however considers himself a jack of all trades as he will do anything that he is asked. When he is not at the farm he likes to hunt and fish.
