Today we are thankful for the rain day so the guys can get home to their families at a decent time tonight! Everyone is still going full force today moving equipment, cleaning things up and getting ready for the next run of good weather so we can finish the soybeans!
Fun Fact: The original Stoy Farms shop was built in 1976 and was 36 square feet. The first shop addition was built in 1997 and was 65’x75′. The wash bay was added around 2000, it was a result of a Terragator being run through the east wall of the shop! We built the wash bay to “cover up” the damage! Our new shop addition built in 2015 is 80’X150′. #stoyfarms

We were pleased to have the Indiana Farm Bureau spring meeting in our shop last night. Over 100 Farm Bureau members from northeast Indiana were able to attend.
The countdown is on….52 days until planting! We are busying preparing equipment, hauling out last year’s harvest and getting in our last chance to vacation or take time off of work before our really long days begin around April 1st! The weather has been unseasonably warm, it almost feels like spring is here now!
Today we lay a great friend to rest. We will miss Fred and the wonderful job he did mowing the roadsides and his friendship!
We are done planting, caught up on spraying, and 70% done with sidedress! Doing some irrigation and praying for rain!
